Why do I need a Covid-19 travel certificate?
Many airlines and destinations require travellers to carry a Covid-19 Travel Certificate as proof that they are not contagious with SARS-CoV-2 (please check with the airline or the embassy of the country you are travelling to whether you need a Covid-19 test travel certificate). Your Lilium Travel Certificate will confirm your full name as it appears in your passport, your passport number, your date of birth, the exact date and time the test was performed, the original test report, a stamp, and a QR code that links to the original test report and certificate. The QR codes are valid for 120 hours after you took the test; after that, they are deleted from our servers. We recommend that you print the Certificate and Test Report if you will be traveling.
How do I know what kind of Covid test I need for travel?
Not all destinations require a Covid test for entry, but many do. Your airline or the embassy of the country you are traveling to will be able to tell you whether taking a PCR test for travel is necessary. Likewise, check on time requirements before you schedule your Covid test. Most countries require you to take the test 24, 48 or 72 hours before your flight, but times are subject to change.
What if my test comes back positive?
If your test is positive, you will receive a signed laboratory test report with a QR code that is valid for 180 days. You will not receive a Travel Certificate as you will not be allowed to travel until you are negative or no longer have symptoms. However, your signed laboratory test report can be used as proof for future travel to those countries that accept a positive laboratory test report instead of requiring a new test.
